Summer Highlights

Just a couple highlights of our summer so far.

Guitar lessons, Family Nature walks, and of course...the beach! Summertime makes us jump with JOY!

Just a few of our TREASURES!! Hermit Crabs are great, we had so much fun watching them.

Spontaneous Splashing

I love spontaneous!! It always works out so much better than well planned ideas. We took a spontaneous trip to Dauphin Island to hang out at the beach with the kids and nana. We heard the jellyfish were everywhere this time of year, so I was definitely on the lookout.(If you have ever had an encounter with one of these guys...you would be too!!) We were splashing around, riding the waves when I felt something brush by my arm. I looked down and saw a clear figure floating and screamed out of panick. What I thought was a jellyfish, was a plastic bag!! Boy, did Jeremy and the kids have a great time teasing mom about that ;) Seriously, it looked just like a jellyfish!!

Then we decided to take the ferry over to Gulf Shores to eat at a really fun restaurant. That was AWESOME! We parked the truck in line to wait our turn and had so much fun. We found lots of treasures while waiting!! What incredible memories we each made. When it was our turn we drove the truck onto the ramp of the ferry and enjoyed the ride! How cool is that, taking a truck ride on a boat? We were able to get out on the boat and watch for dolphins....or jellyfish?!

We made it to Lambert's- a great place to take kids to eat. It is called, "Home of the throwed rolls", they literally throw rolls out to you. The food was delicious and we had a blast!!

Ahhh! The sweet joys of summer. Spending nothing but time together treasuring the sand and the sun!
